Take the next step in your career as a tomato crop manager. This nine-month training programme helps you understand how plant physiology, climate, irrigation, energy, plant health and data work together, so you can make better growing decisions with greater confidence.
Training Tomato Crop Manager
From growing experience to independent decision-making
Modern tomato growing requires more than experience alone. Crop managers need to understand how different factors in the greenhouse interact and how every decision can affect plant performance.
From October 2026 to June 2027, HAS green academy and Plant Empowerment bring together leading specialists for nine in-depth training sessions. You’ll explore topics including water management, light and photosynthesis, energy, humidity, nutrition, plant health and data analysis.
The programme combines theory with practical assignments, real cultivation cases and your own growing challenges. Training days take place at leading horticultural organisations across the Netherlands, giving you the opportunity to learn from experts while building a valuable network of fellow tomato crop managers and industry professionals.
